Of all Rhonda’s creative journeys, she has received the most accolades for writing. As a child she was a voracious reader. While Rhonda was a student at Douglas College, she joined the Other Press student newspaper. In 2006 she enrolled in a Writing for Film course and screenwriting became her focus.
In 2013 Rhonda’s second feature length screenplay – Wrestling With Her Spirit – won the Praxis Screenwriting Competition. Michael Miner (co-writer of Robocop) was one of the mentors and said, “I was blown away by this story, I mean completely blown away. The scholarship and research was reflected.”
